Saw there was a recall for formula and saw it was for a "plant-based" one. Didn't know this was even a thing.

My son wouldn't breast feed

There are legitimate issues on the mother's side and the child's side that are very rare. Your wife did the right thing, even though it was inconvenient. My wife has been able to breastfeed all six children she has birthed exclusively for no less than 6 months each and I know that is also rare.
