Formula use should be rare. Statistics regarding breastfeeding ability and also c-section frequency and labor induction frequency versus actual need are insane.
Those stats I don't doubt in the least. Did a quick dive into just labor induction stats and that is rather concerning. Around 20% of all births.
They have a check that they perform that "isn't intended to induce" but its a possibility. Don't remember the name. They did that to someone I know, they were induced but technically they were not. So at a minimum that number is low.
Ask an ob gyn what their c section rate is and watch them stumble, "I'll have to check that for you" you fuckers know damn well what it is.
Home births are the way to go.

Yet (((their))) own stats also say only 3% of births require induction of any kind.
My son wouldn't breast feed, we tried to get him to but he just wouldn't have it. So.... My missus expressed milk into bottles and he drank breast milk from bottles. Never gave him formula.
People are far too willing to use formula these days. It's not what babies are supposed to drink. They are supposed to drink breast milk.
My son wouldn't breast feed
There are legitimate issues on the mother's side and the child's side that are very rare. Your wife did the right thing, even though it was inconvenient. My wife has been able to breastfeed all six children she has birthed exclusively for no less than 6 months each and I know that is also rare.
Yep. It's crazy. I was born in 1978. My birth was induced because my dad wanted to claim me on his 78 taxes. I have no idea what he actually told the doctor, but my mom said he packed her up in the car and drove her to the hospital and said it was time.
She said after she gave birth (they tossed me in oxygen, destroying my eye sight) they told her I was going to be a retard. She was told that formula was healthier than breast feeding, so she did that. I had colic and screamed until I was on solid food (poor mom).
She had my bother in 83 and insisted on non-induced and breast fed him. I don't know which of us turned out better or healthier because she vaxxed us because school 'required' it. She said she regrets that tremendously beacause she said even with the relatively few vaxxes for the time she saw us get sick from it. It didn't hit her as to what was going on until I nearly died from a vaccine reaction when I was 17.
I chose never to have kids, but my brother's wife had two. Although, she did breast feed, both were C-section.
It's easier on the doctors to just schedule births, get some extra cash with episiotomies, c-sections, and the like all while saying it's healthier. It's all just sick.
