The problem is the natural reaction to this is immediate widespread violence. The problem with that is it should have been our reaction to many things over the decades. If we are lucky what just happened in Appalachia can turn into the rage that has been missing. But they will have simultaneously killed many of our soldiers while inspiring that rage. I guess we're hoping that millions of people are diagnosed with cancer and spend their remaining years fighting with absolute abandon. Thats a weird kind of hope.
