Here in Germany, Lidl (and Aldi) have low-income customers who cannot afford meat anymore. The chains adjust their portfolio and tell a nice story about how being poor saves the planet.
Last time I was in Munich there wasn't any other shoppers in the Lidl except for ragheads paying with Govt. cards.
They don't need their own money when they will happily spend yours. On a second note, if Lidl tries that shit here in CZ they will be out of business in short order, never get between a Czech and his beer and pork.
