When I was in college in the mid 90s, I had a statistics professor who, in hind sight, must've been muslamic (yes, a made-up term we use in my house hold). He would never call on females, and if you blurted out a question because he wouldn't recognize your raised hand, you were mostly ignored, or if he did answer, he was rude and condescending. I complained to the dean (must not have been the first one), and 2 weeks later he was gone.
