Today, politicians want to placate the voters, however

in a policy environment where governments around the world are saying ‘we don’t want these products to be used in the future

The industry isn't willing to risk building something they've been told are going to be torn down in the future.

Repercussions are a bitch!

Let's imagine Trump wins another 4 years. That won't be enough to have the oil industry restart refineries because they know after Trump is out, the attack will resume.

If you reduce global population the demand for your product falls.

This is the plan. Force prices up due to artificial low-supply.

i agree. Just expanding; they want to make it so artificially high that the cost of fossil fuels is roughly equal to the cost of converting homes, buildings, transportation, etc to "green". That's the plan. Making us more dependent on other countries for the raw materials and many of the finished products and bonus, all this shit is connected to internet so they can monitor everything, so it plays right into the technological hellscape these pieces of shit wish to hoist upon the world population.
