The U.S. military just told it’s own soldiers to use food stamps to keep their families fed during this ongoing period of high inflation
So they finally said it out loud. This has been going on for years for anyone in the lower ranks with only a year or two in service with a wife and only one kid. First it’s WIC then to food stamps.
I wonder the ranks and time in service inflation is effecting now.
I had a 32yo guy in basic with 4 or 5 kids and he came in as an E-4 and they called his wife after her sob letters got him all worked up and wanting to go awol and they told her go to get on food stamps. Problem solved lol.
But the recruiter had lied and said he’d be making more then his corporate civilian job and he’d put him in as an E-4 to ensure it. The guy had a college degree and was fluent in 4 or 5 languages including Arabic and was going to linguistic school after basic.
He should’ve been sent to ocs and if failed then sent in as an E-4. The guy had been making a lot of money on the outside but wanted to serve his country after 9-11.
