In 1974 I went out to Hollywood to be a star. Didn't work. But, I went up to the Paramount Studio gate and asked the guard could I come in.
He said no, but come back here tomorrow they're starting a brand new sitcom and I'll get you tickets to see it.
I said what's it called.
He said, drum roll, "Happy Days."
Did I go back? No, I went and hung out with Rodney Bingenheimer for a few days whom I tracked down at the Denny's he loved on Sunset Strip.
