Pro tip from a voiceover worker: Notice that you're talking "through the nose" in that video voice over, you need to use the larynx and diaphragm more and your pharynx less. That gives you a deeper, smoother tone that buzzes less.

I could explain what I believe I remember (that's an odd way to describe a memory) and it's nothing like what you describe. There's no physicality to the experienced pain and there's nothing more than just "being" and it is relatively quite normal in that sense.
