We are forced to have a smart electric meter which they can remotely turn off but mostly so they can remotely read it. they also keep pushing us to use smart thermostats so they can adjust it. Fuck them I won't ever have one. Anyone that gets screwed by theirs just jump the red wire to the yellow wire and your AC will come on. It won't go back off until you take the wires apart.

Only in those homes that signed up for a rebate after agreeing to have their homes’ thermostats controlled by the state. That’s exactly what those fools signed up p for.

How did it go again?, Automate your home!. I have analogue meters and am constantly bombarded by my supplier to have smart meters(I don't even respond anymore) I will not ever do something as stupid as signing up to a service that has the possibility to control what power I use. They physically have to remove me from the grid or cut me off(which they can only do under very specific criteria).

Fuck these people, but dayum we do keep shooting ourselves in the foot.

As far as I'm aware, most Colorado residents don't have A/C. They don't usually need it 9-10 months out of the year.
