Maternal instinct is why I'm alive. My husband died, and I want nothing more than to go with him, even now, 2 years later. But I have 3 kids, and maybe someday I'll have grandkids. What I want doesn't matter, what my kids need is the only thing that exists.

You're an outstanding mom for that. I don't know how you raise your children but based on that alone I'm confident you're an awesome parent. Sorry dad isn't there to experience it.
