I watched the documentary. This is quite sensationalized and IMO 50 years is sufficient. In 1976 3 or 4 guys decided to hijack a school bus with 1st to 5th graders on board. About 15 kids plus their driver. They held them up at gun point, blindfolded them, and drive them to a random warehouse outside of town where they had pre-dug a hole underground and drove the bus into it. They then buried it up to its roof leaving a hole for ventilation with a large steel grate covering the top so they couldn’t escape. so they weren’t buried alive more like detained in a hole The kidnappers then went to the local parents and school board to ransom the kids for $5M. The bus driver and the older kids were able to escape by pushing the steel panel to the side somehow and each kid got out. They made it to a phone a called the cops and the kidnappers were arrested.
