No I have. I can't correlate the connection though. Spiders are technically an infestation and are common in nignog lands so maybe it's just a cultural thing. No idea.
Maybe it's because of the mask? They just are told as niglets he is black because their parents or friends tell them to boost morale? The whole thing is pure buffoonary.

My thought: his parents are out of the picture, with his father figure being shot. He's living with a single aunt, which is very relatable, I would think.
He's also a nerd, is bullied and loves the ahem Mary Jane.
