Dumping all of your money into outdated systems is a recipe for disaster, just look at the "new" rifle the Army is adopting. It's basically a .308 which we dumped in the '60s for multiple reasons.

I doubt if tptb give a shit about Rusky or Chink body armor, they are primarily adopting a rifle to fire at armored up Americans. Period.
