It's pretty sad all around. The woman is old and decrepit. Can't take care of herself and she has no living relatives that care. Her son is doing it out of a sense of obligation. Her daughter is dying and she has more problems besides taking care of her mom. It was a nice condo, much too big for one old lady but every room was filled with crap from other lifetimes. Morbid. Everyone talked about what a sweet old lady she is so other than a friend of the daughter hinting at her running away you'd think her family was a bunch of shits. Once I started piecing it together I learned the truth.
