Well if it wasn't a supply chain issue they'd be able to pan fry in animal fat instead of deep frying in whatever.

Pretty sure the reason the whole world is using vegetable oil for cooking is due to the price. It's significantly cheaper than tallow or lard. That's not a temporary disruption of the supply chain. It has been this way for decades.

A 10 ouncer of bacon makes more grease than I can ever use so between that and tallow/lard I'm never hurting for fat. Also chicken thighs push out a shit ton of pan drippings.
