This is really bizarre. Don't kids routinely walk to school or the bus stop by themselves? I live near an elementary school and I see small kids walking unsupervised to school all the time. How could that be any different than leaving your kid alone at the park for a short time?

I personally wouldnt let my kids play alone at park at that age but doesnt mean others shouldnt. I see this is in Arizona, the cancer from California is creeping east to the midwest
