The hilarious part is that this is exactly where the alleged "slippery slope fallacy" led to with the whole trans phenomenon: People used to argue "Eventually they'll just let men who CLAIM to FEEL LIKE A WOMAN but still have fully intact functional male genitalia into women's locker rooms and changing rooms, and will even allow them to compete against women as women in competitive sports."
The people who made that argument were scornfully derided and told "Nah, it'll be fine!"
Same deal with gay marriage. At the beginning it was all "this doesn't affect you at all!" and at the end it was "bake my gay wedding rainbow cake with two groom-shaped cake toppers or I'll sue your ass out of business!"
