I might be wrong in this but the direct quotes from Garland don’t really address “dissenting parents” but rather people threatening teachers and staff. The impression I’m getting is they’re trying to look like they’re preventing people from being violent towards teachers, which is a fairly reasonable goal.

Now, if they’re just labeling anyone who disagrees with the decisions of the school board as a criminal and any dissent as threats of violence, then everyone is on the same page lol

General Merrick Garland on Oct. 4 announced a concentrated effort to target any threats of violence, intimidation, and harassment by parents toward school personnel.

"Intimidation" and "harassment" are very subjective terms and according to (((his))) statement will be treated to the same wonderful treatment as violence will be... because harassment and intimidation are actual violence. Didn't you already know this?
