Reminds me of that chapter of Atlas Shrugged where the State Science Institute has labeled Rearden Metal as a danger to the public, both physically and socially, and they use the name of a well respected scientist to push their propaganda as legitimate. In the name of the public interest.

Ayn Rand despised weak men.

I am part of a professional organization and that organization pissed me off twice in the past year. Once by pointing out the “dangers of right-wing extremists” and just last week by canceling some conference because of Covid. I called them pussies twice and the last time, I told them to remove my name from the member roster permanently.
