Pretty much. Not that I don't have compassion for other people, mind you, but people who intentionally do stupid shit for kicks often end up getting the people trying to save them hurt or killed. It's just plain old selfish.
The other thing is I have spent a good portion of my life doing pretty damned dangerous shit for a living. If you really want some excitement, just get a dangerous job. I can assure you that after spending a day on icy scaffolding 100 ft in the air with some hungover asshole in a crane lowering giant things out of the sky at you on a cable you will not be yearning to do dangerous things for no reason.

So you know exactly what I mean. When you spend your days trying NOT to fall, it's pretty foolish to then over ride your body's basic instincts and reflexes and tell it that it's "fun" to step off that ledge.
