its a legal requirement to get an 'n95' rating. if the package doesnt say that, its not a real n95 mask and the people who they would be 'appropriate' for wouldnt buy them.

if you work for a company like... say.... mobil.... as a quartermaster, you jewed out, and bought a load of dodgy ass n95 masks that dont have that label, n95, or both, someone gonna die. and when someone die they gonna look at the masks you gave them. and when it turns out it has neither of those things on the packet, someone going to jail for manslaughter. Whereas if that QM had bought masks that do have both of those things on them, but it turns out they were fakes anyway, and someone dies, well whoever they got them from that that sold the masks as 'n95 certified' will end up in jail for same.

as for the non n95 masks that you see in our shops theyre clearly, in bright big colours marked, on the front 'FASHION MASKS' and on the back say what you just said. they go to a whole other level of telling people flat out theyre not fucking masks for viruses or anything like that. because its got fuck all to do with a virus.
