Imagine your child has a terminal illness and has a wish to visit Disney Land or meet a famous actor or ride in a race car or sing on stage and you contact Richard Davis, CEO, Make A Wish Foundation and he happily tells you that your child’s wish can be granted — if your child and you and other family members are two weeks past the last vaccine shot.

If not, take your wishes elsewhere.

In the name of safety, Davis and Make A Wish are going to only grant that last wish if your child based on his and his organizations rendering of CDC guidelines.

are you demanding 15/hr to work at a charity?

most of those there for that are court appointed, they would probably be in jail otherwise they want to be there. then some yuppie writer sees it and goes "how dare you" and writes a bias story about them

actual hired employees have nothing bad to say, nor i doubt the ones there otherwise

I went through the program over 12 years ago and hated every second of it so you have no authority to mock how I feel about them. I was an alcoholic and slept in a dorm room with 5 other niggers for 6 months while I busted my ass unloading trucks full of shitty donations which more than half are either thrown out & destroyed or shipped to third world countries.
I unloaded meat trucks stocked with donated steaks, lobsters, shrimp, etc and those went to the SA Captains and Chaplains - one of which was stealing electronics from our processing center and selling on the black market through biker gangs.
The whole salvation army thing is a goddamned fucking scam. Stop giving money to this piece of shit company that's exploiting addicts and homeless people.

I probably would've got better serious alcohol treatment in jail but it was my grandfather and extended family who pretty much forced me to go -either tough out the program for a minimum of 6 months, or have all contact completely cut off from my family for good. I had to go, since my mom and her side of my family are fucked up and I didn't want to lose all touch from my dad's side - and he died drunk in a single person car crash when I was a baby, so my family didn't want me to end up like him - not just dying, but personality wise when completely drunk.
