I'd venture NJ is the worst state, maybe tied with Illinois. At least NY has nice upstate areas and Cali has nice beaches and perfect weather. Ask a dumbass from NJ what's so great and they always talk about how good the food is. As if anyone chooses where to live based on the takeout.
Most people I speak to about NJ (and remember - I'm living here at the moment) mention the shore, their own town, the 'things to do' and the town they live in. The reaction you get is almost knee-jerk. Someone tells you your state sucks and you get defensive.
Granted, there are some very nice areas of the state, and a few excellent schools, but that's really all it has to offer.
Yeah I'd imagine the shore and boardwalk is cool, if it isn't super expensive.
Illinois has got nothing. Lake Michigan? Drove though and as soon as you cross the state line it's cops every 2 miles ticketing road trippers. They oughta be patrolling Chicago.
Believe me, there is so much wrong with New Jersey it almost deserves its own sub on Poal. The shore, while pleasant enough, isn't free. Yo have to buy a badge to walk on it. Fuck that!
Most towns with boardwalks have the same problems with niggers fucking up the place. Drunk tourists, too.
