This one really pissed me off, when I was much younger me and a couple of friends were skin diving when one of my buddies got a cramp in one of his legs and couldn't swim anymore. I put him in the normal rescue position and started to haul his ass back to shore and he tried to help with his other leg... but that one cramped up too.

Now I was dead hauling him (his brother was useless) and after about 600 yards of this we finally got close to the beach. I was just about dead at this point and with 100 yards to go the lifeguard heroically jumped off of his tower with his red banana and ran full speed to... the waters edge.

I really thought that he was going to come save us but nope. He just ran to the waters edge and watched me collapse when we finally got back to shore.

"Are you ok?"

I didn't even bother to answer him. Fuck "lifeguards".

The shit California gets away with continues to baffle me. Just pay everybody a million dollars a year and then when the whole thing collapses they can bail and buy cheap property somewhere else. My son was a life guard for Long Beach for a couple of years. He saved a lotta kids from drowning at the "Mothers' Beach". A beach where mothers don't watch their non-swimming kids while they're in the water. Also, since there are no waves kids go out until they can't touch the bottom and start to drown. His record was three kids in the same family, all carried out at once. He dropped them on the sand in front of their mother but she didn't even thank him.

Mostly hispanics from what he said. I don't think black mothers enjoy the beach.
