Actually, Facebook tried to censor the word "faggot" even when it was used in non-sexual terms. Facebook threatened to close a Black Country group's page after members discussed the classic local British delicacy faggots and peas. Faggots in that context are meatballs made from pork and tripe. After an outcry, Facebook backed off.
