Ma-in-law keeps going on about this, but I have yet to find a reason to care.
Why am I supposed to be upset? Is this outrageously abnormal? I'd assume that if it were, the owners of these horses would be up in arms, and it's mainly ill spoken protester types whining as shrilly as possible, or at least that's what it looks like to me.
Also, maybe this helps bring down the price of dogfood slightly.
Santa Anita is notorious on the racing circuit for horse deaths. I think it's the worst one.
Horse owners don't give a shit about anything that isn't famous. If a horse dies they race another one.
Hm. I figured them being kind of expensive would cause the owners to prevent this kind of thing... but yeah, I think you're right. Besides, they're probably insured.
Yeah, they're insured alright. Racing dog owners, too.
