Maybe this has something to do with how women seek out security. Normally they partner with a man - the more powerful/influential the better. But what could be more bigger/badder/powerful than the current cultural dogmas surrounding racial "injustice." Maybe these insecure women seek safety by marrying the dogma of our times the same way the women of olden times would run to the convent and 'marry' God.
