Zionist christian leaders for instance, support israel no matter what for just that (the construction of the third temple leading to apocalypse, culminating with the extermination of most jews and the return of jesus. )
Imagine what would happen if israel was left on its own in the middle east, with an america unable to intervene due to whatever reason (total bankrupcy and civil war at home for instance, bigger fishes to fry)
They would get glassed, twice, in about 10 minutes. It's no the will to do just that, that is lacking in the region, nor the means ultimately. It's the oppurtunity.
And who would fly at their rescue? China? Russia? Iran? Turkey? Syria? Lebanon? Egypt? Saudi arabia?
...
What about France? Germany? UK? Australia? Europe in general? Do they really have the means? What about their respective islamic 5th columns at home?
...
A couple of deluded fools such as France and UK aside... I think most european countries would just bark in the end. And those who would go for it would end up in a shit they would never recover from
