They can be taken off fairly easily with a door Jimmie, a drill bit, or by kicking your window out and having the window replaced.
They've been using these on big rigs for a while.

There might be a market for Teflon spatulas that are sharpened to a fine point. These can slip under objects adhered to a surface, creating an air gap that could quickly break the suction.
