I'm confused. Why are y'all okay with ordering a $25 sirloin at 8oz and recieve half of that? The industry is steadily fucking us but y'all are standing up for them?

Some of the fat is rendered out of the steak while it's being cooked, resulting in a lower weight. Cooking the steak also contracts the muscle tissue a little bit, resulting in a smaller size. You didn't know that?

The meat loses weight as it cooks. It was 6oz as raw.
