Why would you eat borax to get boron when you can just get a triple boron supplement in capsule form?

Claiming it's merely "laundry detergent" is dishonest. No one gives a second thought to consuming toxic bacteria excrement (antibiotic). Or bee vomit (honey), for that matter. Those are marketing terms and say nothing about their fitness for other uses.
I see nothing wrong with finding other uses for products, but boron supplements aren’t expensive. I just don’t know why you’d reach for borax to get it.
Article should have called it insecticide for better shock value.
