Really, all different models have different things to look at. I've never had an issue with a teardown (requiring no tools) of a firearm prior to sale. If its not clean, I pass (if its dirty when ready for sale, how dirty was it prior to being made ready for sale?). You can always find another used gun of same age,model, etc.
