Reads to me that Kate Nixon was voluntarily unarmed because like a good little feminist, she worked a do nothing job as a government bureaucrat, obeyed her government like a loyal little zealot, even to her own detriment. And like all good little feminists, she found herself a psychologically castrated man she could casually disregard and dismiss without being denied access to his provisioning.
