So years ago I picked up a 5 pk of billet aluminum 80% lowers when the price was crazy low while Obama was in office. I've made 3 of them into various platforms b/c hey the AR platform is the lego kit of rifles. Anyways I'm looking to go with a short barrel for number four and was reading up. .300 blackout reaches peak muzzle velocity in a 9 inch barrel and offers both subsonic and supersonic rounds available right out the box w/o having to make special reloads or constantly special order ammo. The eventual goal is to fill out that tax extortion nonsense and put a suppressor on it. (hence the desire for shorter barrel and easy to find subsonic rounds.) I've got every other AR part I need lying around already.

So back to the point... anyone got any recommendations on good .300 blackout uppers that aren't stupid expensive? I'm just looking for something that will take a couple consecutive mag dumps between cooling off w/o fear of damage you might find on the cheapest of the cheap options. It's important b/c I've had an extra fostech echo trigger sitting around for about a year now I haven't done anything with. I've got a hair up my ass for a new project. I can't imagine I'll go wrong w/ a fast cycling AR that's more size and eventually more hearing friendly.
