I'd argue semi-autos are more humane when the person is a bad shot. When I go bow hunting I try not to fuck it up but sometimes I've found myself tracking a blood trail for miles. It happens and I don't feel good about it.

This is true. But how it is in PA (having grown up there). This story was interesting to me, since I thought by now they'd have allowed it. And I guess, per the article, they have, it's just the game commission holding it back. Bastards!

Me. I could care though ... I'm not in PA ... don't hunt anymore, but still enjoy the subject ... and a good old bolt action is more my style anyway. It only takes one shot ... if it takes ya more than that, you probably shouldn't have made the shot in the first place IMHO.

Indeed. I've still fucked up before. Probably shouldn't have taken the shot. I'm better than average but I'm no sniper and should know better at times.

PA deer hunting is close quarters stuff. Heavy, thick woods ... you know the type of terrain ... so if a deer is way out there, you likely should let it go. Patience - LOL
