I also did a quick search and there has been ONE murder between 2002 and 2014 in my city. I wonder why that is?
It's the same with all these hot button issues. People scream for change, but they have zero solutions. It's easy to say 'there oughta be a law', much harder to actually find a solution to problems where there is no viable, easy fix answers.
Overwhelmingly gun deaths are in places like Chicago, Baltimore, Philadelphia, etc. Instead of focusing on the issues causing gun deaths in those cities, people want to focus on mass shootings. While those are horrible, that is a very small portion of gun deaths.
Agree. It's a societal issue, not one solved by new laws.
