92FS? Don't you have an odd barrel length? That is going to make it tricky to find the right one for you i think.

If you are not 100% in need of a cross draw set up i don't think Vertical carry is a good option, nor do i think appendix carry is a good option.

Jacket weather means there is no point fucking yourself over with a ITW (inside wastband) setup so you'll want to look into OTW (outside wastband) setup.

I highly recommend looking into either and ALS or an SLS style paddle holster. I used the Serpa paddle from blackhawk for years (still use it) but a lot of Departments have banned its use, most departments have upgraded to a lvl 3 retention system

Video of ALS+SLS retention systems. Watch how he uses his thumb to depress the SLS system to draw the firearm, verses the old style (that i use) of the serpa press.

People don't like the serpa style because you must use your firing trigger to depress the lock to draw and some people have shot themselves due to improper training with this specific holster. This is why the SLS system was created.

I carry MP .40 FULL for my EDC with a ruger .380ACP as my crossdraw backup.

My current OTW holster is super duper uncomfortable for some reason. I will check out your recommendations, thanks!

I'm a derp noob because I've kind of always just been a plinker but now these things are for serious use.

Most are just a piece of cowhide backing with no real support, some are a piece of cowhide with two attachments points that make it more stable. I really think you'll like the paddle style of holsters, it keeps the firearm a distance away from your body that makes the draw really smooth. Find a paddle holster that lets you adjust the cant (angle of draw) too. Most of them have this function these days.

Sounds good. Maybe kind of like this. (concealmentexpress.com)

Wow, that's way more affordable than that larpy shoulder holster, too!
