This is a natural progression in arms development. We already have UAV's that can drop sidewinders on targets the size of a human being. Previously, we had cruise missiles that could use a varying array of ordinance weights and classes to destroy a target. It was inevitable that engineers would be pressed to develop drones that could conduct more discrete operations. The thing that folks should be unnerved by is that this tech will inevitably be refined and as it's replaced, integrated into localized law enforcement agencies and private intelligence gathering companies.
