But we only have SALTWATER shrimp around here!

They're fucking DELICIOUS, too! But I don't have the capacity to trawl for them... I think. It would be weird and hard with a sailboat, but I guess it could be hypothetically kind of possible...

Not to dox myself too hard, but I did manage to be aboard a government research boat a few years back which was researching the condition of the sea floor near where the sewage outflow goes... and as gross as that is, they [accidentally] brought up probably about a TON of live shrimp! As throwing them overboard would just mean that the huge number of other sea creatures around would just eat them straightaway, we were allowed to take as much as we wanted. I filled my MR2 spyder with as much as I could carry, and we spent a whole day cleaning the spiky bastards... followed by a BRILLIANT dinner!

They literally tasted better than some lobster I've spent good money on. Was it due to the freshness? Or their weird sewage diet? Or just luck? Who knows! But I highly recommend them... too bad only nasty chinese farmed shrimp are available at the supermarket...

You can buy wild shrimp most places, they just cost more and selection is minimal.
