So the Maxim 9 (static.turbosquid.com) pistol is pretty cool. So are the markings on the side. If I know anything about design and gun makers, that stippling cannot be random.
Actually, with those thick and thin bars it looks like Morse Code. Here's an isolated snippet of the markings found in the Maxim 9 manual.

There are definitely some mistakes that I made, especially in the beginning because some of it doesn't make sense. But here's what I got from the Morse Code(spaces added for clarity):
SILENCERS ARE LEGAL! SIBAR-NDBAR-NDBARBHIRAM-PHIRAM-PHIRAM GAME CHNGR GAME CHNGA FGHT THE NOISE FGHT THE NOISE FG HOW LOUD HOW LOUD HOW MAY IM NINE 9 MM I AM I YAMVCEZ
So either I'm imperfect or SilencerCo decided to spend $1000s of dollars to cut jibberish into steel molds. I'm thinking I just made a mistake on translating the Morse for any part that doesn't make sense. Does anyone feel like doing a better job at translating? I really just don't care enough. Neat though to see how passionate they are about their message that they would make the grips into their soapbox.
