Metal Storm is something that was devised and tested about 20 years ago. The claims that a mechanically fired gun above 6000 RPM would be impossible seems to be a reflection of the limits of the time in which Metal Storm came into existence. I'm sure those engineers who worked on it would concede that higher rates of fire in mechanically fired guns are now more possible. Part of that claim was also marketing material used to sell the concept to (((DoD))) warmongers with big egos. But despite all that, this guy has shown that it is possible to go higher and do it without the MIC level funding.
