The second you redefine a particular gun as legal or illegal, you're opening the door for tyranny.

Either owning guns is a protected right or it isn't. Distinguishing allowable guns from non allowable guns only ensures that all guns will eventually be illegal. Like freedom of speech: you either have it or you do not.

They want to ban all weapons. Their typical strategy is to get people to agree that there are no absolutes. They elicit examples they can trot out showing how horrible certain guns are and attempt to ban only bad scary guns. Next, they lower the bar to less scary guns, then specific accessories. They never talk about people killing people, rather they focus on the gun aspect.
