My gun closet's getting full so I'm considering storing ammo in my basement. I maintain my basement at 65-70° and 30-35% humidity year round.

Any concerns about storing ammo in a basement so long as I keep the humidity stable?

If you have ammo cans, throwing one or two silica gel packets in with ammo isn't a bad idea.

If the temperature and humidity remain stable you should be fine. I would recommend keeping it off the floor in case the basement floods, though.

Should be fine. Just put it on shelving so it doesnt sit on the floor and rot.
