This is the biggest reason I am considering going through the hassle I will have to go through to buy a fire arm. I honestly don't want one I don't want that responsibility. However I feel like its my civic duty to have one to protect my family. Even beyond that what business do I have eating meat if I haven't ever got my own. The gun issue is one I am torn on a lot. I know the facts show personal gun ownership saves a lot more lives than it takes and I am pro second amendment. However I personally don't want that responsibility. Its a tough one for me.
