I've got an addiction to Henry rifles, but have a list of them still on the want list before I'd even consider that thing: 45-70 All Weather Sidegate, 357 Sidegate in polymer, their New Original Henry (unsure between 45 Colt or 44-40), and their little bolt action .22.

I truly love their products, and their Golden Boy Silver in .22LR is my very favorite rifle. Total hoot to shoot.

Edit: After watching the video, that Homesteader fits neatly into my "DO NOT WANT" list. Henry made some baffling decisions on it. That mag release is in a terrible spot. The bolt hold open is weird and unnecessary by the way it functions, and utilizes a mag catch safety to close the bolt. Retarded.

I got a Henry youth 22 for my son and the sights (plastic) won't adjust for even a medium velocity round.

New metal and fully adjustable sights are 60%the cost of the rifle. It collects dust while he shoots the savage mark ii. It's not the best made rifle overall, but it's a great shooter.

I prefer marlin, but they're getting very expensive. Well what isn't?

At least Marlins are finally good again. As for Henry, I don't know much about base models or youth models, as I tend to buy their premium options. My horn and bead sights are dead accurate and easily adjustable, but I understand some people dislike that style.

I can't say I have a need for pistol caliber rifles. I love Henry rifles though.

Is that Henry's first mag fed rifle?
