have had several 9s, 357s and 44s but Getting old so i switched to a 40sw. More rounds and the in between 9 and 45 is Enough. The 'for men' is still funny.

40 short and weak is literally a neutered 10mm. Grow a pair and get a 10mm.

My 'pair' is fine, I hunted with a 44 mag for years. The 40sw is perfect for carry and a 10mm will go through the criminal and hit?

You can do anything with 10mm. If you are worried about overpenetration, load 135gr's. You can get even get ultra light liberty ammo rounds that go 2400 fps and barely penetrate 10 inches.

Want a happy medium? 155gr or 165gr gold dots. Want more penetration but still a hollow point? 180 gr. XTP. Want to shoot bear or take down three pavement apes that are attacking you down a hallway with a single bullet? 200gr hard cast.

Overpenetration is all about what ammo you choose. 10mm is an awesome round. More versatile than any other handgun round. Also awesome for reloading. The recoil is like a 357 magnum. It's not that bad. You can get warm loads that shoot like a 9mm out of a heavy gun too. It's no where close to a 44 mag.
