Agreed it falls into the "neat" category for now, but give it a few more versions. I don't think they've maxed out the design potential yet.
Fair. If I had the coin, I’d buy one for evaluation purposes. If it could deliver enough energy to dispatch farm animals, I’d get lots of people to buy one.
Yup. I like my just fine. I normally consider coilguns to be a DIY, hack it together kind of project. I was pleasantly surprised at how refined and capable this EMG-02 is.
Where I am currently firearms are so highly restricted as to be not an option. Ammo is even worse. So a non regulated weapon would be fantastic. There’s a particulary large weasel I have to deal with as well which is creating a problem. I don’t think 20j would be more than a squirrel killer though. I’ll keep watching.
Until then, there is this awesome Russian guy who makes crazy weapons from wood using springs or rubber power. I think I’ve seen a hundred different ones he made.
