I would need a workshop for that. How would I even make the barrel?
This is the correct point. Heat-treating a barrel is no small feat.
Once you have the barrel, it's all down to personal creativity.
Yeah. It's a snap of the fingers.
I have instructions somewhere. I'll look around for them later.
Remember, if you do it right, the gun you make for yourself only has to work once: https://files.catbox.moe/osgoxb.jpg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FP-45_Liberator https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CjndIiZyJo https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberator_(gun) https://wintersoldier2008.typepad.com/summer_patriot_winter_sol/2014/01/the-last-progress-note-on-the-plywood-gun-until-i-start-to-build-an-upper-receiver-for-it-.html
lmao I say the same thing to people, you don’t need to save for years to buy the best let the other idiots do it and when/if the time comes take it from them with your cheaper version.
That's not exactly what I'm saying here, friend. I'm saying that, if you are not prepared, for whatever reason, when and if the balloon goes up, then be prepared to take from the enemy. They will have plenty. More than they need. Historically police units have been a complete disaster when used in direct combat, so when the time comes, you'll know. As SGM Plumley said, "There'll be plenty of them laying around on the ground."
And as a former firearms instructor I can say with some precision, about 70% just aren't that good with them. They are not "gun guys". A few are, but the majority aren't. They do the absolute minimum necessary to get through their quals and that's about it.
I once had a guy show up at the range and walk up to the line with an empty weapon and magazines. But nobody knew that until the targets turned and his was the only weapon that went "click" instead of "bang". He hadn't reloaded his weapon and magazines after his previous qual. Figured he'd do it later, then forgot about it. So he'd been walking around on duty with an empty weapon for 3 months.
Taking from honest citizens would be problematic on several levels. Very careful target selection would be key. Otherwise you end up on the wrong end of an old guy like Jerry Miculek, and the second to last sound you will hear is a "beep".
Best to just play it honest. Work and buy your own tools up front, then train with them.
Took me awhile to find it again, but here you go.
