My shitty "honey the loaded guns are in a safe because kids are here" safe has a manual override key for just such a scenario I would imagine that larger ones do too.

Makes sense. I just see more ways in than mechanical if it can also be controlled electronically. Think of the recent trend from tic tok where they are stealing KIA's and Hundai's using a USB cable? 100% dial mechanical is the safest imo. You have to cut into those because who the heck is a legit safe cracker anymore anyway? Electric and a key open two more avenues in.
